"a hundred and two degrees!?" Pop exclaims.

Yes, we have fallen back into the temperatures of high summer this week, and this is expected to carry on at least into next week. But so long as the air-conditioner is running...

The scribble blog has been quiet for a few days. I had fallen back into the mood that the writing here should meet some kind of standard of quality, which tends to lead us to fall off into silence or the sound of crickets.

I think I am back into a blurty kind of mood.

Coco has picked up an interesting, cute habit. Upon leaving the big room, instead of taking the simple route across the floor, she always leaps onto the bed and jogs along the side of the mattress before jumping off again and then going out the room.

Why?

It seems like a waste of energy, but she is still quite young. Maybe the height lends a little extra tactical advantage, affording her a better view of the lay of the land, though neither Ash nor Sammy bothers.

Whatever. I like it.

I finally have my GoodReads shelves nicely set up just like I want them, or as it is more practically known as, my 'wanna read' stack. Hey, I had to sort through close to 300 books!

I have my 'fiction' shelf which is really my 'fast read' shelf, consisting of those books that are ideal for my bedtime reading.

I have two shelves for my 'slow reads', for the daytime reading, my 'literary' shelf and my 'non-fic' shelf.

I even have a 'pile' shelf for those books that I have come across which caught my attention but which I probably will never get to unless I really do find myself with a thousand years to kill.

I almost forgot to mention my 'religion' shelf, which actually tops sixty books. When I was running a little hot in my Christian phase, I was adding quite a few of those. For now, this is really like my second 'pile' shelf, except I doubt I would get to them now even if I did have a thousand more years.
