Marilyn

Going by Darwin Porter’s book, Marilyn Monroe’s house was practically a sound-stage. Indeed, even she had herself taped. One set of tapes was put in place by a shadowy operator named Bernard Spindel. Here we have an account of what is on some of those tapes, though I take it that this account will not stand up in a court of law, and I don’t think we even know where the tapes are, or even if they really do exist.

According to Earl Jaycox, one of Mr. Spindel’s assistants, “The tapes definitely prove that there was a sexual relationship between President Kennedy and Marilyn, and later, a sexual relationship between Bobby and Marilyn. If anything, she seems more intimate with Bobby than with the President.”

Another assistant claimed, “I heard tapes of both Bobby and the President fucking Marilyn. The sounds of the bedsprings. Cries of ecstasy. After all, Marilyn was at work at her best role as the most desirable whore of Babylon.”

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has more game than what can be played on the basketball court. It has been ages since I heard anything about him, and it is only now that I learn he is a bit of a writer. Apparentely a lot of people are surprised. He recently wrote a critique of a TV show that garnered a lot of attention and buzz. And now he has written a sharp retort to all this excitement.

Miley says she will never have long hair again.

"You will never see me with long hair again!" the blond beauty proclaimed. "My fiancé [Liam Hemsworth] loves it…It's so easy and [I] don't need to wash it. It looks better grungy and not washing it."

Never say never, but the heart does crack. Of course, if the relationship with Liam ever goes south, we might see a happy change. Longer hair is just more obviously feminine and a quicker turn-on. Movie roles would also probably command a return to the longer locks. Well, we all go through our phases.

"It's started raining already."

Monk takes out the trash. "It's started raining already."

Pi says, "Is that a bad thing?"

Monk says, "Well, the cats are out, and they just ate well. It might be a good couple of hours before they feel a real pang to come inside. But at least it is a very light rain. Scarcely a drizzle. It's not a complete surprise, but this is at least a good five hours too early, and I was hoping it wouldn't start raining until six or seven in the morning. But, no, I lose again."

Pi pats Monk on the back, "Oh, let the cats feel like they are getting away with something. It will buck up feline morale."

Monk says, "I just hope that I can get them in before bedtime, but I know they are not the most cooperative critters around."

Pi smiles, "But they are among the cutest!"

Monk nods, "And they take full advantage of it."
