Although Valeria could not provide Hummy with the kind of sex he really craved for, the marital situation did provide a domestic stability for him, or so he thought. It was a nice quiet home life for a few years. And her role as a sexual substitute gave him some release.

We went to movies, bicycle races and boxing matches. I appealed to her stale flesh very seldom, only in cases of great urgency and despair. The grocer opposite had a little daughter whose shadow drove me mad; but with Valeria’s help I did find after all some legal outlets to my fantastic predicament.

I have opened up another section for the Three Journal. I felt like getting in some of the flavor of the current era in my life, the one without any real e-friends. At first, I was thinking 2010, but then I saw that the entries for January of 2009 looked very good. However, I realized that what I really wanted was to get to my book-blogging. I was a little surprised to realize that I did not start book-blogging until May of 2011, just a little over two years ago. I was also surprised to see that I did not start with "1984" but with the Bible. This was when I was taking Christianity a lot more seriously. Apparently my work on the Bible raised my comfort level when it comes to quoting from books, and I started "1984" in the same month.

So, that is where I opened the new section: May 2011. I was happily surprised to see that I was still enjoying some nice conversations, not only with Miss Next but also with Ms. Stay. She had not cut out on me yet. But she will soon, as will even Miss Next. I was not too surprised to see that I opened my first Dreamwidth account later in 2011, in September, when my e-loneliness really began to weigh heavily upon me.

I have filled one of my old, thick, black binders with Three Journal entries. That's quite a bit of material. I'm going to have to start a second binder. All my other black binders are filled with Old Journal stuff, but I think I'll clear one and store those papers in a box.
