Nina Zero

Mr. Eversz decides to close the book by bringing it back full circle to Nina and her dysfunctional family with her abusive father. They are back in the kitchen. Nina wants to say goodbye to her mother and brother before going to jail. Her father is there, and, well, he starts to get abusive. However, Nina is not the docile girl she was at the beginning of the story.

Grocery Day

A double Grocery Day for me. I also went with Pop on the H.E.B. leg of the trip. I loaded up on ice cream sandwiches for my trouble. Since we had breakfast at Jim’s, with Kay at the house, I was not going to have lunch until late anyway. But it really blows off the day. When we got back from H.E.B., I was just able to get in my afternoon nap before starting my big steak lunch. Not a bad day, really. I just feel so heavily disoriented, being taken out of my routine like that. I lead a small life of very simple days. It doesn’t take much to take me out of my comfort zone.
