Rough night. The chances were good that this morning would bring in some storms. So, I made an extra point of letting the cats go hungry, in order to get them in the house. When I got up for a bathroom run at four or four-thirty, the winds were kicking up and it sounded like it might be raining already. I decided to see if the cats were ready to come in already, and they were.

Funny, they were quiet after they came inside, even Sammy. I was able to get in some decent sleep over the next two, three hours. But I still feel kind of beat up. I had some trouble falling asleep to begin with. Maybe that pre-bedtime nap wasn't such a good idea.

As for the rain, it hasn't fallen yet, but it looks and feels like it wants to.

I didn't think Kay was going to make it this weekend. But Pop has just parked his car off to the side of the driveway. At least I should get my pancake breakfast tomorrow. And I was likely to sleep in the big room after all, to be with the cats; I'm still thinking that that rain should be coming in, even though it has gotten quite sunny outside.

So much for that 80% chance of thunderstorms. It just disappeared completely, all the way down to zero. Aren't I glad I watered this week, now?!

I guess the cats can go out in a little bit.
