"Robin Williams was an airman, a doctor, a genie, a nanny, a president, a professor, a bangarang Peter Pan, and everything in between. But he was one of a kind. He arrived in our lives as an alien – but he ended up touching every element of the human spirit. He made us laugh. He made us cry. He gave his immeasurable talent freely and generously to those who needed it most – from our troops stationed abroad to the marginalized on our own streets."

-- President Barak H. Obama

He is so big, his stardom broke through even into my aloof life. In addition to "Dead Poets Society", "The World According to Garp" has a special place in my mindscape. It is difficult to believe that he committed suicide. In fact, when I read that the cause was asphyxia, I was thinking there might be a cover-up to protect the dignity of the man, as I suspected this might be another case of autoerotic asphyxiation. Yet, his people say that he was suffering severe depression. It's possible. Everyone feels pain.
