Beer and Candy

Beer and candy. It's quite a combination. Putting away the groceries was a little harder, because Pop has loaded down one of the refrigerators with more candy. I think about asking him to choose: which will it be, beer or candy? It would make a good scene for a movie: a refrigerator full of beer and candy.

Pop and Kay

They are cooking pork chops together. I catch a snippet of conversation, as I take the cats food out and use the bathroom. Pop says, “I wasn’t born yesterday.” Kay says, “It’s not your first trip to the zoo.” She does have a collection of expressions that I have not heard before.

Russia: Total War?

Anne Applebaum gives us an opportunity to focus on Russia and Putin. The conflict in Ukraine is still going on and has been only getting hotter. Apparently there are discussions in the highest Russian circles to take the war all the way.
