Hardcover Journal
Despite my Three Journal and my habit of reading my old blogs, as I got ready to take a shower this morning, I felt my old desire to have a pen & paper journal for brief quotations. I cannot shake off that itch to have at hand some fast reading.
I almost shook it off again, as I always have. It feels like it is too late in my life to start such a project. We only have so much longer to live and enjoy life as we do.
However, this time, I got tired of living as if death is around the corner. I wanted to start this project, if only to scratch this itch once and for all time. I went through my closet to see if I have one more of those hardcover spiral notebooks with the thick paper, but I finally did run through all of those and have none left. What to do? I want something easy to handle, not looseleaf pages, something solid.
There is Amazon. I can get something in just a couple of days. I remembered once browsing for such notebooks but not having much luck. Regardless, I tried again, and this time it occurred to me to search for ‘diary’, and that was the magic word unlocking their hoard of quality hardcover journals.
Unsurprisingly, now that I am set to begin this project and have placed my order and spent my cash, I am already feeling cold toward it. Is there really any point in putting together a separate compilation of brief quotations? But that’s okay. This itch is going to get scratched!
