I have not been keeping track of the time that the sun sets. I am planning on mowing this evening. I think I can start as late as six. As for the cats, I starved them a little last night in order to get them in the house this morning. They have enjoyed a couple of days and a few nights of the outdoors, so I thought they could afford this interruption. I am also expecting a cable guy to come today and bury a new line that we got yesterday with the new modem (which is supposed to make for an appreciably faster connection). I might have waited another day to mow, but this affords me a double-benefit in keeping the cats inside today, killing two birds with one stone, which is something the cats ought to be able to appreciate.

Mowing the lawn this evening, I learn that the Deluge of 2015 made me remiss about being on the lookout for beehives. There were a couple of moderate-size hives in development at the front of the house. Thank god, I had enough spray to wipe them out before the problem got out of hand.
