"Don’t ask me about nonfiction. I never read it. I hate anything real."
-- R. L. Stine
Mr. Stine is an author of children's books, and I want to keep a couple of interesting comments he made in an interview with the Times.

INTERVIEWER
Do you enjoy reading horror for grown-ups?
STINE
I don’t particularly enjoy it, because I never get scared. There’s something missing in my brain, I think. Scary books and movies never frighten me. I don’t know the feeling of being so scared by a book that I have to lock the doors and keep all the lights on. For some strange reason, horror always makes me laugh.
