Hillary Clinton has been on the hot seat before the Republicans' committee on Benghazi, all day. I have been keeping it on the TV screen, paying attention to bits here and there. She is a real cool customer. If it were me, for instance, I would keep on biting back about the political dirty trickery of this affair, focusing only on trying to sink her presidential candidacy. I suppose she is content to leave that to the Democrats on the committee, as she remains above the partisan scuffling. They still have a couple of hours or so of questions left, but minus a surprise bombshell, the Republicans are going to whiff. Instead of destroying her, they will only make her stronger.
Earlier this week, Hillary also got a big break when Biden declined to run against her. Doubting that Bernie Sanders has a real chance to win, you have to suppose that the nomination will be hers, and then begins the real war against the Republicans for electoral college votes, assuming that the Republicans can clear up the quagmire of their primary contests, as we have to see if they can even keep Trump from hijacking their Party.
