I thought I'd start separating quotes from the daily fun, making a different catch-all post, and one that all my e-buddies can check out, if they should be feeling especially restless and bored.

I patched up the hole on the outside wall, the one above the elephant ears, just off to the side from my bedroom, the one we have been duct-taping. That tape fell off a few days ago. I think it must have lasted over a year, which is more than I would dare hope for from a duct-tape repair job, especially for an outdoor repair, against that weather and the seasons. Maybe the drought helped in that regard.

I hope the sausage is still good. I need a decent breakfast with orange juice. Especially since I'm having that pizza bread for lunch with a double tea.

When "The Simpsons" first came out, I was a pretty big fan. I cannot remember when they lost me, but it just started getting old to me. And I remember when I caught their big movie: it seemed to me that they were just throwing stuff on the screen, just free-associating away, without rhyme or reason or any real fun. But it has it's place in my mindscape, a significant landmark in my brain, a part of me for better or worse. At least the show beats Beavis and Butthead; I'd hate to think of those guys roving around in my head.

about cats

Ash seems to want to play, but when I call to her, she will not come, and I really hate that about cats: you have to go to them. At least she lets me hug and kiss her to death, which cannot be said of Coco and Sammy. There just won't be another Bo.

Looking out back and seeing how dry the tree areas are, it occurs to me that, since this is our watering day, I ought to take care of that tonight.

86 degrees

Whoa, opening up the blinds after my nap, I am surprised that the car is gone. Pop left again without my even hearing, and it was not that good of a nap.

When he came home a little before two-thirty, he must have been thrilled to see that the a/c was not running. The high is 86 degrees and it's not really uncomfortable, though I wouldn't call this ideal.

The religious images always do it for me, the world is a fucked up place.

-- Miss Timeout

This was in response to a picture I posted of a priest getting head from a pigtailed girl, using her cute braids like handlebars. I doubt I will get to enjoy much conversation with her, and that's too bad.

I said, "I like to think of wild pornography as a kind of exorcism or catharsis for the darker, primal stuff inside of us - a safe outlet where no one is hurt. I actually kind of have some religious aspirations of my own, but in the end, I'm afraid that we are just monkeys that can talk and the world is indeed mad - the inmates running the asylum."

She said, "I agree with the pornography part, it's why I don't feel guilty for what I write. No one is hurt in the process and it's kept locked down in hopes that no one with intentions to act on their urges will ever read. As for being monkeys that can walk and talk, I believe at least half of the world is like that for sure."

I said, "LOL The male half maybe?"

She said, ";P that may have been my thought! lol."

Tumblr

As I quickly scroll past lovely young gals taking pictures of themselves in the mirror, showing their tits and pussy, I realize that Tumblr has spoiled me. Before I got on the Internet, just one of those pictures would've been worth gawking at all day, especially in the excitement of wondering if this or that one might be too young.

I'm feeling hungry already, and since I want to save my coke for dinner, I'll just have a couple of mini-ice cream sandwiches.

Aww, the Bo icon pops up. I did give him a little ice cream. The memory makes me feel a little better. I really did love you, buddy. Like Pop, I'm just too damn selfish, and I should have thought more about your happiness rather than focusing almost exclusively on my convenience.
monk111: (Christie)
When Pop went to change and I was at the table refilling the cat plate, I snuck a look at the receipt for his Church's chicken, which was smelling so heavenly. And I was surprised to see that it's under five dollars, and it is for dark pieces.

So, it's not like he is being a glutton over fat, juicy breasts while I make do with Swanson.

I forgot: since I'm watering tonight I should've showered this afternoon. I may just stink it out tonight and suffer the greasy hair. If I'm feeling really uncomfortable, I may do a kitchen-sink shampoo.

that shower

I don't know. I think I really need that shower. Maybe I'll just forget about watering that bit of lawn and weeds in front of the patio, and I'll shower then.
