my stomach

As I gather my bowl and silverware, my stomach feels better, firmer, and I decide to have Pop's sweetrolls.

No music

No music...

Still no music coming from Pop's room. Of course, I hate hearing that country & western music, but it scares me a little not to hear it this late in the morning, considering Pop's age and unhealthy living.

my x-blog

I'm trying to stay away from my x-blog today, seeing how far I lost myself in that Tumblr wildness yesterday, that super-sweet stuff. Maybe I'll play tonight when I'm on my computer.

Stickam is now offering a poker game, which sounds like a good idea. Unfortunately, it doesn't give us any up-front account of what is expected. We aren't putting in real money, are we?

Not that I have time for poker or solitaire. Now that I'm into this book-blogging. Not to mention the new, wider-opening of the porn world.

When Pop returns from his rounds, I'm wondering if he's going to complain about the air-conditioning. The temp is 90 degrees. However, Lorie is with him, and maybe he is glad that the a/c is running, even though they are only here a minute, dropping off some purchases, some more cocktail glasses, as though our cupboards are not loaded with glasses that will never be used, as though money were no object.

*******

At least she has overcome that blonde idea she had about herself.

Ash

There's Ash. Again, she only comes for the seven o'clock dinner, after being gone all day. I thought she had overcome Plan B, when she was spending the days here, but apparently we are not enough of a draw to keep her.

But I remember how surprisingly nurturing she was when she was a baby kitten, and I am inclined to trust her instincts. I'm just sorry that we apparently are not a bigger part of her life, but just some ready food.

I wonder if she has found a household that has small children that adore her, but if that were the case, why would she need our food? She comes back hungry. I just don't know.

e-life

I spent the better part of today banging out that post on T. S. Eliot, and I am not surprised that it is just passed by. If you are not genuinely interested in poetry and literature, and I doubt that even Miss Stay is that iterested in such book talk, then you appreciate that life is short and you move on.

What's funny is that my post in which I just copy and paste quotes from news items kicks up a little life.

The point seems to be: the less from me the better.

Pretty funny, right?

*sigh*
