the whole night outside

The first time in a while that the cats have spent the whole night outside. I hope they enjoyed it, because last night and tonight may be it for another bit, since the temperature is suppose to be dropping again. Indeed, they were talking about rain over the weekend, but it looks like they dropped that forecast, which is fine with me, as we have had more than our share of the wet stuff in the last month.

It looks, feels, and smells a little like rain outside. Maybe the first forecast was right, after all. Hope not. We are not dried out from the last rain. That mud is still fresh from the last rain.

attacks remain a part of LJ life

Phooey, LiveJournal was working this morning, but it is down again. If these attacks remain a part of LJ life, I don't see how the site can thrive. It is only a minor annoyance for me, but the crowds aren't going to suffer these headaches when there are other and more popular social networking sites that run fast and smooth.

Shit, it's raining. At least Sammy came it readily enough, but I still have Coco out there on the chaise lounge as pretty as you can be.

Fuck, the Plath journals didn't come in. I was hoping big. I'm looking to those journals to spice up my book-blogging.

Atheists and Rapists

A new study by the University of B.C. says religious people distrust atheists more than they do persons from other religious groups, gays and feminists. The study found that the only group religious people distrust as much as atheists are rapists.

It is also noted: “People are willing to hire an atheist for a job that is perceived as low-trust, for instance as a waitress. But when hiring for a high-trust job like daycare worker, they were like, nope, not going to hire an atheist for that job."

You can forget about running for president, I guess. Or you can just fake your faith as do a lot of Republican politicians, Church leaders, and rapists for that matter.

sloppy joe

HEB was hawking a sloppy joe mix, and I shared that with Pop. It wasn't terrible, but it's not an experience I care to repeat. Once you've a manwhich, you cannot go back to just any sloppy joe.
