In the middle of the night, I was a little worried about keeping the cats inside, because it seemed an even warmish night, just perfect for them to be running around free. By the early morning hours, however, I see that I bet right. The streets are well wetted, and it is proving to be a rainy morning.

A little cold. Popped on the heater. The two full glasses of ice tea with my lunch may be a factor, but the sun isn't coming up, and it is cold enough that the heater started running. Maybe we are beginning another little wintry spell and goodbye spring-like days.

He turned round, and for a second almost failed to recognize her. What he had actually expected was to see her naked. But she was not naked. The transformation that had happened was much more surprising than that. She had painted her face.

Pop had an early dinner, so I took the opportunity to whip up a hamburger patty, sweet potatoes, and beans, and gave Swanson the night off. Though, despite the timely dinner, with all the dishes, and throwing in a shower night, it made for a crowded evening. I barely beat out nine o'clock in getting back to the Net.
