When I let the cats out at around five in the morning, I was surprised that Ash did not follow. She was there in the kitchen nearby, but positively refused to go out into the chilly morning darkness. I was afraid she was going to be crying a few minutes later as I try to fall back for one more good dose of sleep, but she did not. Smart cat that Ash. It's much nicer inside. Especially on winter mornings.

Wiping some of the sprayed kitty litter toward the box, I remember that I need to change the litter today.

I also have to start on the grocery list.

It's not that much, but it feels like such a drag.

And a vacuuming to boot. Albeit a half-job.

It's late, but maybe I can finish that Dickens chapter before heating up a can of raviolis for my lunch.

Wow, only five items on the non-cold goods, and that includes the unusual addition of the Irish Spring bars of soap. I hope Pop won't stiff me on those. He should be happy with this short list, provided that we don't need a lot more cold goods than usual.
