rolling with the flow

Another day thrown out of whack. I feel like this is happening more often. But I also feel like I am doing a better job of rolling with the flow. I suspect that a big reason has to do with my zero-reply e-life. I am increasingly feeling the pointlessness of my blogging, and I can see myself just walking away from it. If that is being too emo and dramatic, it is certainly fair to say that I do not have a great problem with losing a morning here or an afternoon there to some more material task.

This time it was a mow. I am glad that I was primed for the chore, looking for an opportunity, because, heading into May, one does not get better opportunities than what was afforded this morning. Heavily overcast and strong, ongoing breezes. Not a hint of summer. And all three cats came inside for breakfast. So, I had a quick breakfast myself and jumped on this chance.

That chewed up the whole morning, and then I was content to take it easy in the afternoon, as a kind of reward to myself.
