to bake chicken
May. 16th, 2012 01:47 pmI am so glad that I finally broke away from Swanson’s chicken dinners. After all these years, ever since I came back home to stay. It’s a lot more trouble to bake chicken in the oven and to whip up some side dishes, but the taste and quality of the food is easily worth it. And I am cooking enough chicken for two meals, which helps to make the chore manageable.
I have been flirting with the idea of getting my old chicken fried rice concoction back into the routine. Just flirting. Nowhere close to making that happen. I don’t even know if we still have the cookbook that I used. But such flirtation is a good first step to making something real.
