That's not an original phrase, I'm sure, but it is not a formulation that I would have hit upon. It reminds me of one of the costs of not having a social life: not being exposed to all the different expressions people use, which could freshen up my writing.
Too, too stunted, the way I live.
They are on their way to Shiner for the day. They should be back tonight, and then they will leave on Friday to spend the whole weekend at Shiner.
What's there? It does not seem to be anything that would tickle Pop's fancy if Vic were not here. He never goes to Shiner when Vic is not here. Though, it could be that it is just no fun to go alone, and no one else sees the charm in Shiner.
I have to envy this companionship that Pop enjoys. With a brother, no less, someone from the beginning of his life all those decades ago.
