Vic said, "I slept like a champ!"

That's not an original phrase, I'm sure, but it is not a formulation that I would have hit upon. It reminds me of one of the costs of not having a social life: not being exposed to all the different expressions people use, which could freshen up my writing.

Too, too stunted, the way I live.

They are on their way to Shiner for the day. They should be back tonight, and then they will leave on Friday to spend the whole weekend at Shiner.

What's there? It does not seem to be anything that would tickle Pop's fancy if Vic were not here. He never goes to Shiner when Vic is not here. Though, it could be that it is just no fun to go alone, and no one else sees the charm in Shiner.

I have to envy this companionship that Pop enjoys. With a brother, no less, someone from the beginning of his life all those decades ago.

fourth season of "Chuck"

The UPS guy would come the minute I leave the big room. No matter. It saved me the awkwardness of meeting him out front. The important thing: I now have my disks for the fourth season of "Chuck". So, we will be kicking that off over dinner tonight.

what do I think of season four?

Tonight got crowded fast. Pop said that he and Vic would not be back from the Shiner trip until late, after ten. Instead, they make it in when I have barely started eating my dinner and I am only a few minutes into my first episode of season four. Fortunately, Pop understood when I asked for another half-hour to finish my meal and my show in peace.

And what do I think of season four? I was surprised that they brought the Buy More back, after blowing it up to smithereens at the end of last season. Nevertheless, I must say that I am not feeling as good about this season as I was when we watched the first episode of season three. In order to keep the show going, it looks like the writers decided to get weird.

Having said that, I am far from disgusted. I am still up for the season. It helps that they seem to be playing more with Yvonne Strahovski's sex appeal, which helps alot, a whole lot. Indeed, this has always been the hook, though, to be sure, her beauty and sexiness would not be enough if they could not also give us an engaging story.
