monk111: (Primal Hunger)
I went to bed at a little after eleven, and the next thing I know, it is after five. Six hours straight, no bathroom runs. I don't suppose that the library trip took that much out of me, as much as it is because I had a rough time falling asleep on the night before. But I am just glad that my body can still do this, that I don't have to piss every hour or two,, and I don't wake up in piss-soaked sheets and a fouled up mattress.

Getting up at six-thirty, I see the light is on under Pop's door. He is so tense and anxious about Vic's visits. You would think it was a new girlfriend coming home with him for the first time, perhaps from a long-distance Internet relationship.

Pop laments, "I didn't know cats shed. I just thought dogs did." He's still vacuuming. At least Vic's arrival will put an end to this tension. Pop is not really that bad about it, as he at least takes much of the onus on himself, perhaps understanding that this is his guest, but it is an annoyance. The air feels a little less free.

It has become a somewhat regular pattern for Sammy to spend his days elsewhere, and today it looks like Ash has joined him. I cannot imagine why they would do this. I know Sammy always returns hungry. The spirit of adventure? I am touched to see Coco sticking with us, even staying in the house. Smart cat.

Vic has finally made it in. He's late this time. He's usually here at around two, if I recall correctly.

I got the laptop in my room, which should be neat convenience: easier to masturbate to my e-porn. I fall back into the habit of reaching for the little sliding-table on my computer desk for the dead keyboard and mouse, which I still have not thrown away. I guess the reflex stays fresh because of Pop's computer.

I thought they were awfully quiet. They are sitting on the patio. I know Pop's penchant to get comfortable in the heat, but I would have thought that Vic would decline that accommodation, preferring to stay indoors with the air-conditioning. But no.

I’m glad to see Sammy has made it back. The sun had gone done and there was still no sign of Ash or Sammy. Still no Ash. Coco was lonely, and I even flirted with letting her come into my room. Fortunately, the boundary before my room is so solid in her brain that she did not take me up on it.
