You let the cats out

The temperature is not expected to do more than barely tap into the lowest nineties, and it is so overcast. It seemed ashame to keep them penned inside when you know they are aching to go outside.
"Isn't it supposed to rain?"
At best, we might get a little drizzle, and I wouldn't put money down on even that modest proposition. With July and August fast coming round, it seemed a good idea to let the cats go while the getting is good.
Damn!!
"What?"
It just occurred to me that, if I were on the ball, I could have gone downtown to get a plate of chicken fried rice for lunch. But I guess that was never an option, actually.
"No money."
Nope. None to speak of.
