for dinner

We are fast coming on seven o'clock, and I am debating whether I should have a pot pie for dinner, or if I should just skip it and have a big slice of red velvet cake. I'm not really hungry, having enjoyed a big roast beef lunch, but I could go for something sweet.

Elvis music

No movies or news shows recorded that I want to watch, and certainly no documentaries, but I am making a lovely night of it with Elvis music. I pipe up the volume during some favorite songs on my reading breaks, and mute it in between these high-attention moments, which helps to keep it from becoming tiring, as I really seem to have a newly developed appreciation for quiet. I think it has been at least a couple of months since I have listened to more than a couple of Elvis songs from beginning to end in one interval.

the toilet

Having the house to myself, although I hate to put a damper on my lovely evening, this would be a good time to take care of the toilet, especially since I have a library trip this week.
