neighbors are doing their lawn work

The next-door neighbors are doing their lawn work. Which is a bit aggravating for my morning reading. Though, I must admit, this is a great morning for the chore - overcast and cool. Maybe I should have followed their lead, especially since I cannot fully enjoy my book. However, I had already resolved that I would wait until sometime after the weekend, because the lawn is not that tall yet and could stand another few days' growth. It would be nice if this could be the last mow for the year, but with all the late rains, I may have another yet. Besides, it shouldn't be hard to pick a good day to knock out the chore; we are safely past the worst of summer.

bug bites on my body

So many bug bites on my body. I am getting eaten up. If that West Nile virus is really making its rounds here, my chances should be pretty good of getting it.
