Watergate

Reading Thomas Mallon’s novel “Watergate”, I enjoyed a nice chuckle reading a campaign song for Nixon. The man was heading toward a landslide re-election, and he had just come out of some historic breakthroughs with both China and Russia. Still, considering everything, it is kind of funny.

Tuesday

Whoa, that's a nasty piece of thunder! I could swear it shook the ground. The forecasters said that we had a 30% chance of rain throughout the afternoon and early evening. I thought we might see a quick shower at best, being mostly skeptical. Nevertheless, I have the cats in, and we could use a good little storm.
