monk111: (Cats)
There's Sammy!

This was one of those mornings when I was really looking to see all three cats. Last night, as I was going to bed, I heard the most tormented and despairing meow-screech along with canine growls. It was too distant and it sounded too late for me to try to save anyone.

But where do I find Sammy? In the neighbor's front yard, along with Coco and Ash. These cats will take their chances. They are a little too wild. Not feral, but more free than domestic.

A code-compliance car suddenly backs up a half-street length, stopping right before our house, as though the official thinks he might have spotted a water sprinkler illegally running.

Ricky

Pop comes with the widest fool's grin, talking about how Ricky is taking a tour to Canada on the train. Pop obviously wishes he could go on such a trip, instead of being content with the field trip to Corpus Christi. When I think about it, I am surprised that Pop has that desire to travel and see more of the world, as it is not something I would have credited him with. And it's not something I really care for, prefering a good book to a strange place.

I didn't know Steve Martin was still alive. Here he is writing up a comic letter to Eddie Murphy, ostensibly giving him advice on his gig to host the Oscars. I haven't really heard anything about Murphy in a very long time either, and I am surprised that they would trust him with such a responsibility.

I was thinking about showering again after my nap, but Pop is home, and I don't want to risk giving up the big room. Besides, there's no pressing need to keep from crowding the evening.

A big, lumbering white man comes tramping up the driveway and opens the gate. I think about having the baseball bat in hand, and I meet him at the door before he gets there. It's one of Pop's friends.

I cannot really locate him much more specifically than that. I think he is the husband of Linda, but that's where I have been confused before, as I used to think it was the Linda that used to visit Mother, but I'm pretty sure that isn't her. I don't even know if she is related to Pop or Mother.

This time, he is here by himself. So, I'm wondering if this might become a more regular thing, and if I might need to give him a name. Right now, I'm thinking 'Al', but I'm not settling yet, since I am thinking this will be a one-time thing.

Whoa, I lost another friend.

Scanning through the list, I see it's that Asian chick who I first knew as Hidoko and who posted those hot and nasty pics on Show Your Boobs. This one hurts a little, as it was a long-time thing, and although we were never inner-circle friends, we have enjoyed a nice conversational back and forth. It looks like she has opted to give her blogging all to Tumblr and to forget about LiveJournal. I am really sorry about that.

This is, like, the third person that has opted for Tumblr. It seems to have gotten more popular, and, indeed, it is only recently, through one of those gals, that I have found it to be a treasure trove for pictures.

This blogging life of mine just becomes less and less fun all the time.

That big white guy is still here. So, it wasn't just about picking up something and leaving. And I recently heard an outburst of laughter and fun, so they must be enjoying each other's company. I need to take a piss soon, though.

I think it's worth it's own post. Childhood memories and all.

Miss Next

Miss Next keeps giving me recipes, like she thinks I cook. I don't know. Maybe it shows she wants to comment, but cannot think of a better way. Something is obviously misfiring. Such misfiring still beats the silence. I just wish I had some real e-buddies.
monk111: (Shoot me)
Great, the big white guy used my toilet. At least there wasn't half a turd floating around in it. Though, the idea that he probably used my bar of soap disturbs me.
monk111: (Rainy)
Pop apparently left with him in his truck. Probably to get something to eat. I could really use some Kentucky Fried Chicken, myself, like that's ever going to fucking happen.

*******

And now Lorie is calling for him. Quite the social life my pop has. He really leaves me in the dust, doesn't he? Funny world.

Rain?

Lighting flashes!

I was putting out the paper plate of cat food when I noticed the sky off to the side lighting up. This was the exact experience when we got that last storm. If the pattern continues, I'm soon going to see that paper plate blown over with food all over the patio. Naturally, I wouldn't care for that to happen again, but we could use another good shot of rain. It's not an emergency situation now, but a good rain would boost up the comfort level.

Maybe Google Reader can pick up my mood with some of that Tumblr goodness. I'm still at over a thousand images.

Rain? 2

Fuck, it happened again. Spilled cat food all over the patio.

At least this time Coco and Sammy seem to be reading the same pattern, because they both came in on their own.

Ash is still out there somewhere.

And there is already a minor patter of rain.
