40 degrees

At 40 degrees, I am surprised that the cats are not eager to rush back inside. But good. I'm glad they are still a little tough. However, there is also absolutely no wind this morning, and it is the wind that gives teeth to cold air.

Pop has left to get our groceries. I have been debating whether to clean my toilet this morning, as it sorely needs it, but I am not planning on a library trip until next week, and aside from my general laziness, I like to have my toilet shining cleaner when I go on my trips, as I imagine Pop likes to give a little inspection of my doings on such occasions when he has the house to himself.

All three cats lying in row on the bed. I don't know a lovelier sight these days.

12:30. I guess we are back on the late plan again, returning to the old routine. It was a short list of groceries. I don't see how it should take three hours. I'm hungry for my steak. I need to whip up some biscuits, too, before the biscuits become dated and suspicious.

The big disadvantage about a late steak lunch is that it is all I can do to get in bed at a decent time for my nap, and I still have the dishes to wash when I get up.

my naps

I don't know what I'd do without my naps. It's like a second morning, if a little diluted. But my gut feels like it has expanded three times it's already embarrassing mass. The steak and mashed potatotes really settled and feels kind of permanent.

"Chuck"

They won't even have Yvonne Strahovski wear cheerleader panties under her work uniform to give us those little thrills during the high-kicking fight scenes. They have her dressed in half-sweatpants under that skirt. Very demoralizing for we pervs.

I am thinking that I won't be going beyond season one of "Chuck", after all. This is not just because of the panties, or the want of panties. I just think I'd rather put my money into more "Cheers" seasons as well as "The Shield".

Ah, there is Pi! Long time no see.

She says, "Chocolate donuts and coke for dinner? Or did I miss dinnner and this is your dessert?"

Monk grins, "Nope, this is dinner alright. I had that big steak lunch."

Daimon says, "And I guess a bowl of fruit and a glass of milk was out of the question."

Monk says, "Hey, Daimon. Yeah, it's too late to learn new tricks. Especially by my lonesome."

Pop took an early shower, following my lead apparently. So, I took advantage of the vacated Big Room and got in a good evening reading session, getting into my "Masks of Hamlet", looking for a second book-blogging post from that book.

So, I am beginning my evening news harvesting rather late, at a little after nine, but that's not bad and it shouldn't throw my bedtime, so long as I stay on purpose.
