monk111: (Effulgent Days)
Today was going to be the big mattress flip and bedding day. It's not working out that way. Considering how I just mowed the lawn and trekked downtown, I feel entitle to laze a bit. I also learned that one does not flip Serta mattresses, which enabled me to put that off.

I still got to wash the bedding and put in a good vacuuming, but it can wait.

While I am at it, I confess that I have given up on that random-number generator. I am just going to use a more easy-going, flexible rule: don't go more than a couple of days without a blurty day. Generally. Again, since these few days have been busy, and even this is a grocery day, I give myself license to forget about these three days.

flies

I am touched to see that Coco at least is trying to help me get the flies, pawing at them, leaping at them. But I'm afraid the flying pests have too much of an advantage. We have a good three flies zooming around inside the house.

We have quite a swarm around the trash cans. I remember when the cats first became house cats, the flies seemed to become a big problem, and I assumed it was because of their excrement that I was bagging and dumping in the trash can. This year, however, the cat crap cannot be the problem. And it is not like we have had a lot of rain, which creates more breeding grounds for the flies.

We can only take consolation that mosquitoes have not become a problem, yet.
