monk111: (Effulgent Days)
Pop put up a new rocking chair on the patio last night. The patio was already crowded, but it's not a problem. I was feeling a little stress over how it might affect the cats, but they don't seem to have an issue with it. It is going to be that much more of a hassle to use the water hose, but, again, not a big deal.

And we may have to use that hose soon, if we don't get some real rain. We apparently got a small burst of rain in the wee hours of the night, and I am keeping the cats inside this morning, but the dirt-ground is still bone dry and cratering. This weekend and tomorrow is supposed to be our big chance, and the weather has been verging on rain, but if it does not happen, we are hurting, and I will need to start watering, which is one more painful chore I'd rather do without.
monk111: (Cats)
Ash is the only cat with me in the office, as I read "Strange Flesh" on the Kindle. She lies on the desk with that feline grin.

It takes more effort for me to call up her kitten days, a survivor from that cat holocaust that took Pepper and two of her four kittens. One has to work harder to remember because they were a pair that were effectively like one unit, Ash and Willy. Our first socialized cats. What a turn that was.
