A little overcast this afternoon, and I even decided to forgo giving the elephant ears their afternoon drink. They talk of rain. Tomorrow there is suppose to be a fifty-percent chance. But... we'll see.

We may as well make a note on Pop while we are here. After getting out of bed, he spent about an hour on the phone and with his newspaper, but then went back to bed for hours, and now after getting a bite to eat, he lounges at the kitchen table watching his westerns. It's not a good sign.

I'm afraid his seventies are starting to land on him hard. I'm starting to regret not having a driver's license. We may be at that point where he would like me to get the groceries, whereas 10 years ago, he wouldn't even bear the thought of me going with him to get the groceries for fear of my larding the bill.

It's actually raining. And hard. It's desperately needed, but I had all three cats outside. Fortunately, Coco was ready to come inside immediately. I think that's Ash on the Patio, but if it is, she is not eager to come inside. I say, 'if' because I'm not entirely sure that it is not a stray. No sign of Sammy, I'm afraid.

Yup, that was Ash, and she is now inside too. I'm afraid Sammy was caught out bad, but this is not the first time and I'm not particularly scared yet. I'm more worried about not being able to sleep, being worried that he is at the door looking to be let in.

All three cats are in. Now let it rain like hell!
