my morning walk
Sep. 3rd, 2012 10:53 amFor my morning walk, instead of the Henriad, I brought the Dickens bio, and I enjoyed that more. I also like the idea of making more headway into my reading, rather than rereading Shakespeare for the fourth or fifth time.
This is a familiar cycle. After leaving off Shakespeare for a while, when I come back to it, I marvel that I could ever leave it and feel that I can just reread this forever, but then the fiery glow begins to cool down, and you can see that it's not like all the other writers in the world are worthless. In short, the best reading mix may be to take in Shakespeare more intermittently. When I finish the bio, I will probably go back and finish "Richard II".

The ducks were starving this morning. As I approached the pond, even before I began to reach for my bag to get the bread, some of the ducks started running toward me, as if they somehow knew, or else they were just desperately hoping.
