Habits don’t just drop off. I refilled their plate on the patio a little after four in the morning, so that they were not starving this morning, and I was looking to leave them outside, but when I went to open the sliding-door for air, the cats came in on their own. I wasn’t going to force them out. I suppose they will have to gradually grow back into their old freedom.
